Dearest dreamer, we're super excited and proud to share with you our newest collection in time for the cooler autumn/winter weather! Nirvana Chapter One is filled with soft, natural linen garments in shades of classic black and warm brown sugar. You'll notice several beautiful long sleeve and long leg variations of your favourite staple shapes.
The second chapter of our Nirvana tale, is where 100% Organic Cotton meets an original new print featuring our spiritual, all-seeing eye symbol. We thought what better way to celebrate the launch of the new garments than to take you on a journey to get to know Nirvana from Verity's inspiration to the final timeless treasures themselves.
Verity's inspiration behind the collection
Nirvana is a place of perfect peace and happiness, like heaven. In Hinduism and Buddhism, nirvana is the highest state that someone can attain, a state of enlightenment, meaning a person’s individual desires and suffering go away.
Inspired by finding glimpses of joy in everyday life, we want you to go to a place of calm and peace when wearing the Nirvana collection.
Soft, all natural, luxe linen is a fabric no wardrobe should be without. This stunning material adds an elegant texture to any outfit, only improving with age as it becomes softer to touch. Not only is linen extremely durable, making it a fine choice for any of our timeless pieces, it's also wonderfully breathable meaning it can be worn from summer to winter, all year round.
Nirvana Chapter One is filled with deep, warm and cosy tones and textures, ideal for casual coffee dates or rainy day adventures. For instance, the Paloma dress and babydoll romper are stunning long sleeve styles that look amazing with a simple pair of ankle boots and tights if it's particularly chilly out.
Chapter Two is all about the Nirvana artwork, lovingly designed in Australia by founder, Verity, which subtly incorporates our extra special, D&D spiritual eye symbol in crisp white and sweet honey hues.
Made from 100% Organic Cotton in a slightly thicker winter weight, consciously selected for its sustainability and naturally soft and supple texture. Organic Cotton is vastly different to conventional cotton, as it uses up to 88% less water and 62% less energy to grow. No harmful chemical are used in the growing process, meaning it's also non toxic, non GM and safer for the cotton farmers and our planet.
The new print works beautifully in many of our classic D&D designs, such as the slip dress, tunic dress, double frill skirt and paper bag shorts. You'll also notice a few new styles in this chapter, including the Nirvana midi dress and harem pants (perhaps the comfiest pants in the history of the world!?)
