Our favourite things to do in Byron Bay in April

There are always plenty of good reasons to come to the Bay all year round, but April is arguably one of the best times to book a visit with just-right temperatures and a long list of artistic events taking place.

1st - 5th April: Byron Bay Bluesfest

After the annual event was cancelled last year due to COVID, it's back and better than ever. Spanning across 5 days, Bluesfest sees generations unite over blues'n roots music.

With an incredible line up of world-renowned artists, including iconic Aussie headliners Pete Murray, Mark Seymour and the Undertow and Kate Ceberano, get ready to make a lifetime of memories.

The award-winning music festivals will be celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year and has had a colourful history, with genuinely humble beginnings.

Set amongst a spectacular 300 acre Tyagarah tea tree farm 11km north of Byron, Bluesfest will feature 200 performances across multiple stages and also includes 5 licensed bars, 100+ food and market stalls, beer gardens and quality family entertainment.

2nd - 5th April: Easter long weekend

Byron is the place to be for the long weekend. The beaches are teaming with surfers and sunbathers alike, the restaurants are bustling with laughter and rounds of great cocktails and the streets are alive with market stalls and live music performed by local artists; there's nowhere else quite like it!

Be sure to grab some delicious brunch at one of the many eateries in Byron. Some of our go-to's include The Farm, Bayleaf, The General Store and Folk. Before laying out in the sun at The Pass, Wategos or Tallow Beach and cooling off in the crystal clear waves. And don't forget to visit our boutique (120 Jonson St)!
